Granville Johnson and Martyn Piper - Sssnap
Sssnap
is all about the drum.
Sssnap is acoustic percussive improv: no wind or
string instrumentation, no synthesizer…Sssnap’s
rhythms, expressing the power and grace of djembe, are intoxicating.
The music is often trans-like. Yet the beat is made to dance, made
to move you.

Brent Morton
A one-man computer-based live-drum-pounding knob-tweaking guitar-soaked cross between Caribou, Radiohead, and Underworld. It is music for spacing out and/or dancing your ass off. Currently recording "Fibrinous Issue" to be released in the spring of '08.
The Irreverent Reverend
The Irreverent Reverend (aka Michael Sheely) is heaven bent on bringing the beauty of being into the booty shaking scene of late night dance parties. His anti-conformist antics enable freedom and joy to find their place among the throbbing hearts and hips of what truly is. He summons sermons of soulful prose from his pulpit of poetry and prayerfully penetrates the pearly gates that make way to the spirit of love and respect. Become one with the fun when the Reverend comes!
Matsya
Meaning 'Fish' is Sanskrit, I play the music I choose because it makes me move differently. I love the awkwardness of it and the fact that it gives you access to to freedom of movement. I am all about textures in sounds these days!
Transgress - "Fish"
Transgress is the solo Live PA project of Peter 'Fish' Fisera (also of the live improvised techno band Inject). Fish (a proud resident of East Vancouver) has been meddling with keyboards and wires since the age of 14. Around 1998 or so, something strange happened in his head, and he began to foresake his first love (playing live rock and roll) for making techno; first in the studio only, then with a 100%-live solo downtempo project "Koolatron" and finally morphing into the sequencing-based "Transgress". Instead of the laptop that is commonly the heart of a Live PA setup these days, Fish uses Alesis MMT-8 hardware MIDI sequencers from circa 1989, along with a large array of both vintage and recent synths and drum machines. The result: techno, breaks, tech-trance, or downtempo; melodic and trippy, sometimes chaotic but rarely abrasive, and with an emphasis on original synth sounds rather than the expected.
